Where On Earth Did The Christmas Tree Go??

My mom owns a bakery called The Nutty Angel, located outside of Pittsburgh. It’s an awesome little neighborhood establishment, with tons of mouthwatering goodies. It all started though once upon a time in our family kitchen…..

My mom would bake at the holidays to make extra money. Her stuff was wildly popular. The money she earned helped put my siblings and me through college. However, the downside was every holiday was very stressful as a result. It turned Christmas, in particular, into a last minute rush to do everything. I am talking gifts bought, tree purchased and decorated, food shopping (of course we would host a family gathering), cooking, and cleaning all pretty much jammed into Christmas Eve. I remember one Christmas Eve in particular when my siblings and I were fighting over who had to decorate the Christmas tree. We had had it. My father calmly walked over to the tree, dragged it outside onto the porch where he proceeded to throw the thing down the porch steps. He had had it. We all yelled “Merry Christmas”. And that’s what I say to you now….Merry Christmas.
